Yet, there is a good reason why the organizers of the conference have chosen a title that does not contain any express reference to SEPs. By putting the focus on standard-setting organizations (SSOs) and the process of standard-setting, the panel will react to a more recent shift of the debate on SEPs away from the conduct of SEP owners to the role of standard-setting organizations (SSOs). 2.
