The Greek Competition Authority establishes non-compliance with regard to a previous decision but without being able to impose fine again (Karelia)

The case concerns the conduct of an undertaking (Karelia) that has been condemned by a former decision of the Greek Competition Authority (Hellenic Competition Commission, thereafter HCC), but afterwards did not comply with it. More specifically, in 2000 the HCC found that the producer of cigarettes Karelia infringed the national provision (article 2A of the national competition Law no 703/1977) that prohibits the abuse of economic dependence. This Greek rule is not in violation
