The US DOJ files an antitrust complaint against a search engine for abuse of dominance (Google)

On October 20, the U.S. Department of Justice filed its long-awaited antitrust complaint against Google, joined by 11 state Attorneys General (Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina, and Texas). The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The complaint begins with this opening statement: Two decades ago, Google became the darling of Silicon Valley as a scrappy startup with an innovative way to search the emerging internet.
