The Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 has prompted European competition enforcers to reassess the application of the EU competition rules in light of the geopolitical crisis and serious economic shocks it has generated, e.g., through disruptions to global supply chains and the effect of sanctions on international trade.
