The French Competition Authority unconditionally clears the acquisition of joint control over a vehicle glass repair company and defines new market for at-home repair and maintenance services (Carglass / Mutares / Homeserve)

On 1st March 2021, the French Competition Authority unconditionally cleared the acquisition of joint control over the Carglass Maison group by Mutares and Homeserve and defined a new market. Background The target, the Carglass Maison Group, offers repair and renovation works to both individual and group customers in France. The acquirers are respectively Mutares, a company specialised in rescuing distress companies, and Homeserve Plc, a company specialised in repairing and maintaining household equipment in Europe and North America. In France, Homeserve offers home assistance services and, installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC materials to individual and group customers.
