Introduction and Background to the Claim In Chester City Council and Chester City Transport Limited v. Arriva Plc, Arriva Cymru Limited and Arriva North West Limited [2007] EWHC 1373 (Ch), the High Court of Justice had to consider a claim brought by Chester City Council (‘the Council') and Chester City Transport Limited, a bus company owned by the Council and trading as ‘ChesterBus', against Arriva Plc, Arriva Cymru Limited and Arriva North West Limited (‘Arriva').
