Spain: The Comisión Nacional de la Competencia fines Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE) for Abuse of Dominant Position*
In its Resolution of 3 July 2012, the Council of the Comisión Nacional de la Competencia (CNC) decided that SGAE (IP rights collecting society) had abused its dominant position in relation to authorisations for the public broadcast of musical works at wedding, baptism and communion dances or at dances which guests attended by personal invitation between 2002 and 2012, thereby infringing Article 2 of the Spanish Competition Act 15/2007 of 3 July 2007 and Article 102
