The Turkish Competition Authority announces some of the most common anti-competitive practices in the bread industry based on its experience and informs bread manufacturers about the competition rules that are to be complied with in the relevant market

This study analyses the announcement of the Turkish Competition Authority (TCA) in which it has informed bread manufacturers about the competition rules that are to be complied with in the industry and made it clear that some practices that are common among bread manufacturers across Turkey, such as joint setting of prices and profit margins, sharing markets, points of sale and customers, may lead to competition law liability under Article 4 of the Act on the Protection of Competition 1994 (the Act).
