The US District Court for the District of Columbia dismisses claims of “shared monopoly” against two companies in the market for rail freight transportation services (Union Pacific / BNSF)

On February 26, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia granted defendants' motion to dismiss Section 1 and Section 2 claims against Union Pacific Railroad Company ("UP") and BNSF Railway Company ("BNSF").
