The Lithuanian Competition Council fines a company for a failure to respond to the request for information during the investigation (Plungės duona)

On 21 September 2010 the Competition Council started the investigation on the allegedly anti-competitive agreements of some of the undertakings (including, UAB “Plungės duona”) active in the manufacturing and sale of foodstuffs and of their associations (Article 5 of the Law on Competition, Article 101 TFEU). For the purposes of this investigation, the authorized officers of the Competition Council requested UAB “Plungės duona” to submit the documents and/or the information, such as the copy of the company’s registration certificate, the copy of the actual regulations of the company, the copies of the company’s financial documents for the year 2010, the copies of the contracts and their annexes which were valid in 2010 with some of the retail networks, the price lists of the sale of its
