Introduction On 12 December 2006, the Irish Competition Authority issued revised guidance on merger notification criteria. The new notice modifies the Competition Authority's 2003 guidance note on the interpretation of certain merger control provisions under the Competition Act 2002. The purpose of the new notice is to provide guidance to business and legal practitioners on certain terms and, in particular, reflect the current interpretation of certain provisions.
