The Italian Civil Court of Milan issues a decision on the factors a judge must take into consideration for the application of state aid to cases (Quanta Agenzia per il Lavoro / Associazione Sportiva dilettantistica Quanta Sport Village /Comune di Milano)
On 2 July 2014, the Civil Court of Milan delivered Decision No. 3839 in which it rejected the damages action brought by Quanta Agenzia per il Lavoro S.p.A. (“Quanta”) and Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Quanta Sport Village (“ASD”) against the Municipality of Milan (Comune di Milano) and Milano Sport S.p.A. (“Milano Sport”).
Background & facts of the case
In May 2013, Quanta, the owner of certain sport infrastructures, and ASD, a non-profit entity that managed those infrastructures, brought a damages action against the Municipality of Milan and Milano Sport, a public-owned company offering sport services whose only shareholder is the Municipality of Milan.
