Willima Diaz is senior counsel at Amgen in the corporate litigation group. He has over 20 years of experience in complex litigation matters and FTC and DOJ antitrust investigations of mergers and anticompetitive conduct. Prior to joining Amgen, he was a partner in the antitrust & competition practice group of McDermott Will & Emery. In addition, he has significant experience in matters involving the intersection of the antitrust and intellectual property laws. Will began his legal career as an attorney for the Federal Trade Commission, Bureau of Competition, investigating and analyzing mergers and anticompetitive trade practices. He received the Commission’s Award for Meritorious Service for his role on the FTC v. Libbey, Inc. trial team, which obtained an injunction blocking the proposed acquisition.
