David Telyas works for Gorrissen Federspiel, where he acts for Danish and foreign clients providing advice and conducting negotiations and legal proceedings within the area of IP law and competition law. David’s experience also includes "traditional" IP law, in particular marketing law and consumer law.
Having completed his PhD thesis within this field, David’s expertise covers the handling of issues in the interface between competition law and IP law. Moreover, David has wide experience advising clients on licence and development agreements as well as on disputes relating to the enforcement of rights.
Acting as adviser for a number of internet and software companies, David has extensive experience handling matters concerning e-trading platforms, online marketing and software development. In addition, he has assisted clients in a number of major infringement cases within these sectors, including in relation to breach of agreements, crawling/scraping of data, free-riding on distinctive signs and trademarks.
