Roger Bout passed away in 2016. He graduated from the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) of Aix-en-Provence and the Institute of Criminal Sciences and Criminology as well as a graduate degree (DES) in criminal sciences and private law , Graduate of the Institute of Judicial Studies (YEI). He is a doctor of law, an associate of law schools. He was a lawyer at the Avignon Bar (1962-65), assistant at the Faculty of Law of Aix-en-Provence (1965-70), Professor Emeritus (since 2008) at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Aix-Marseille and President of the Department of Private Law and Criminal Sciences of the Faculty of Law of Aix-en-Provence (1992-2004),
