Robert Mahini

Robert Mahini is the Senior Competition Counsel at Google since 2019. Before that, he was the Senior Policy Counsel at Google from 2012 to 2019. He also teaches the course "Policy Issues of Big Data and AI" at the McCourt School of Public Policy within Georgetown University as an adjunct professor. He also was the Senior Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission from 2005 to 2012. He was a law clerk to Chief Justice Thomas F. Hogan from 2003 to 2004. He was an associate at Dow Lohnes PLLC (2003-2004) and at Hogan & Hartson (2001-2003). He worked as a paralegal at Sidely & Austin (1997-1998). He graduated with a JD from the Vanderbilt University Law School in 2001 and a BA in English literature from the University of Virginia in 1997.
