Robert Clark is Professor, Stephen J.R. Smith Chair in Economic Policy, in the Department of Economics at Queen’s University, and is Affiliate Professor in the Department of Applied Economics at HEC Montréal. Prof. Clark’s research focuses on the economics of cartels and the industrial organization of financial markets. He has written on competition in mortgage lending, bank competition for deposits and loans, the effects of mergers on competition, among other topics. Beyond competition in financial markets, his research interests span topics related to competition and antitrust issues in electricity distribution, grocery retailing, asphalt, pharmaceuticals, gasoline, advertising, and airlines.
