Norbert Maier is a managing economist in the Brussels office of Copenhagen Economics where he leads the company’s merger practice. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of competition economics, including 6-years in the Chief Economist Team at DG Competition, Norbert is a trusted advisor in complex merger and antitrust cases across a wide range of industries including digital, pharma, energy and basic industries. He particularly excels at formulating theories of harm and developing supporting economic analysis consistent with the European Commission competition policy decision-making.
