Michiel Verhulst is a full-time Ph.D. assistant at the KU Leuven Centre for Methodology of Law. His doctoral research focuses on the private enforcement of EU competition law, more specifically on the embeddedness of economic quantification methods in the legal framework. For his research, he was awarded a Fellowship by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) in 2019. Michiel holds a bachelor degree in law (KU Leuven, magna cum laude) and a master degree in economics, law and business studies (KU Leuven, summa cum laude with congratulations of the Board of Examiners).
