Mate joined Portolano Cavallo in 2021 after participating in a digital internship program based on remote work. He focuses primarily on litigation, providing assistance in commercial disputes for both Italian and foreign clients. Mate earned his Law degree from the Università degli Studi di Padova in 2022. He is also a graduate of Political Science, International Studies and Administrative Governance. He participated in the twenty-eighth Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the following year he collaborated as a coach for the Università degli Studi di Padova team.
