Before joining the firm in 2019, she worked at the European Commission Directorate-General for Competition where she spent five months at Unit D.2 – Antitrust dealing with cartels and abuse of dominant position in the financial services. Between 2017 and 2019, she was a trainee lawyer at a leading Italian law firm in Brussels, focusing on EU and competition law matters. Maria Rosaria graduated with distinction in law from the Sapienza University of Rome, where her dissertation thesis focused on the abuse of dominance in the context of essential facilities. She holds an LL.M degree in European legal studies from the College of Europe in Bruges where she wrote a thesis on state aid for the banking sector.
