Majid Charania

Majid Charania is responsible for promoting compliance by companies of all sizes with the laws enforced by the Competition Bureau (Canada). Prior to taking on this role, Majid Charania served as special advisor to the Commissioner of Competition, the Competition Bureau chief. He has completed a mission within the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition (Brussels). Majid Charania has also held positions as a case handler for the Competition Bureau, counsel to the Commissioner of Competition with the Department of Justice (CA), and has worked for a leading law firm as well as an energy company. He holds a Juris Doctor in Common Law from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
