President

Luciana Macedo is the President of the Uruguayan Competition Authority since 2019. She is commissioner of the Authority since 2009. She is an economist specialising in competition policy and regulation of network industries. In 2003 she achieved a MSc in economic regulation and competition from City University, London. She is a lecturer of competition policy at the Catholic University of Uruguay since 2019.
