Katharina Apel’s practice focuses on German and European competition law, including merger control, anticompetitive agreements, abuse of dominance, and state aid. She represents clients before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Courts, and German courts. She has extensive experience in the media, chemical, health care, consumer goods, and telecommunications industries. Katharina joined the Cologne office of the firm in 2009 and became counsel in 2019. From 2013 to 2014, she was resident in the Brussels office.
