Professor of law

Doctor of Laws from the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), Julie Klein is Professor of Law at Sciences Po Paris after being professor at the University of Rouen until 2020. She taught civil and business law and directs the Master II in general private law. Her doctoral thesis deals with the starting point of the statute of limitations, and has received several thesis awards, including the Prix de l’Ordre des avocats at the Conseil d’Etat and the Cour de cassation, the André Isoré Solemn Thesis Award from the Chancellery of the Universities of Paris, and the Odillon Barrot Thesis Award from the Académie des sciences morales et politiques. His research work focuses on the regime of obligations, corporate law, and the confrontation of the rules of civil and commercial law.
