Jörg Hladjk’s practice has focused on European cybersecurity and data protection matters for more than 13 years. He leads the Jones Day’s Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice in Brussels. He advises multinational clients across all industry sectors, with an emphasis on automotive, IT, energy, and medical devices. His work covers all areas of EU data protection, such as implementing the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy Regulation compliance programs, data breach preparedness, and incident response. Jörg has specific experience in developing strategies for international data transfers, including Binding Corporate Rules and assisting with approval procedures by EU data protection authorities. He also has negotiated numerous data processing agreements on both the customer and provider side as well as successfully represented clients in contentious data protection matters.
