Jonathan Ende focuses his practice on antitrust and privacy matters. He works with clients across industries, including the health care, insurance, technology and manufacturing sectors. He regularly counsels on merger clearance and antitrust compliance. His practice has involved investigations before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), as well as litigation in federal court. In addition to antitrust matters, Jonathan advises clients on privacy and data security. He has assisted clients with data breach responses, internal privacy audits and compliance assessments with state, federal and international data security and privacy laws.
Prior to joining McDermott, Jonathan served as an intern at the FTC, where he assisted with a merger investigation. He also worked as a senior research assistant at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, spent a year in Japan teaching English to high school students, and served as an intern with multiple US Senate offices. During law school, Jonathan sat on the editorial board of the Virginia Law and Business Review, and participated in pro bono projects led by the Innocence Project. He also interned with the Appellate Division of the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
