Jody Boudreault joined Baker Botts in 2018. She helps clients with antitrust clearances for strategic transactions such as M&A, joint ventures and licensing ; advises on commercial issues ; advocates before government agencies ; and defends antitrust litigation. She presents clients with useful business solutions to minimize their overall antitrust risk. Her work has spanned major sectors of the economy, including healthcare, life sciences, and health information technology ; financial services, including fintech platforms ; intellectual property and high-tech matters ; consumer products ; heavy industry ; national defense ; insurance ; and media and entertainment. Jody Boudreault advocates for and against transactions and policy proposals before the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission, other federal agencies, Congress, and state Attorneys General. Jody started her career as an Honors Attorney in the DOJ. There, she gained significant experience in all phases of government merger investigations including horizontal and vertical merger review, civil enforcement actions (CIDs/Second Requests), and investigative process and procedure. Before DOJ, Jody externed for a law school semester at the Antitrust Bureau, New York State Office of the Attorney General, working on New York ex rel. Spitzer v. Saint Francis Hospital, 94 F. Supp. 2d 399 (S.D.N.Y. 2000) (market allocation and state action immunity issues). Jody Boudrault has served as vice chair to the Pricing Conduct Committee of the Section of Antitrust Law of the American Bar Association since September 2017. She is a member of the Cornell Alumni Association and various PTAs.
