Jean-Louis Debré

Jean-Louis Debré, born in 1944, has a law degree and a graduate degree in public law and political science. He is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. He is the son of Michel Debré, former French Prime Minister. From 1978 to 1986, Jean- Louis Debré is judge in Paris in charge of terrorism cases and organized crimes. He was elected MP for the first time in parliamentary elections in 1986, reelected thereafter until 2002. Councilman is between 1989 and 1995 in Evreux. Between 1995 and 1997 he was Minister of inside. In 2001 he became Mayor of Evreux . From 1997 to 2002 he was Chairman of the RPR group at the French National Assembly. He was President of the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007. Since 2007, he is Chairman of the French Constitutional Council
