Helena is an associate in the competition department. She joined Bristows as a trainee solicitor in August 2017 and qualified in 2019. During her training contract, Helena assisted on a number of contentious and non-contentious matters, in particular in the technology and life sciences sectors. She worked on an ongoing case involving the FRAND aspects of a telecommunications patent dispute. She also helped to advise on various competition law issues arising in commercial contracts. Helena gained further commercial experience during her time spent on secondment to the in-house legal team of an international IT outsourcing company. Since qualifying, Helena has assisted on a regulatory investigation in the pharmaceutical sector, and is a member of the Bristows team acting for a technology client in relation to a follow-on claim arising from a European Commission abuse of dominance decision. Helena is a contributor to Bristows’ blog on the interface of competition and IP law, the CLIP Board.
