Professor Dr. Christian Koenig, LL.M. has been Director at the Center for European Integration Studies and Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law at the University of Bonn since 1999. Prof. Koenig’s research focuses on the law of the European internal market, EC competition law, especially state aid and public procurement law, infrastructure subsidies, telecommunications law, energy law, the regulation of gambling and pharmaceutical law. Koenig studied law at the Universities of Berlin and Mainz. He obtained a Master of Laws at the London School of Economics (LLM). He worked in an international law firm before obtaining his “habilitation” in law at the University of Marburg. He served as Professor of Law at the University of Hamburg, followed by the University of Mainz and the Uni versity of Marburg.
