Benoît Hamon

Benoît Hamon is member of the French National Assembly. From 2012 to 2014, he served as Minister Delegate attached to the Minister for the Economy and Finance, with responsibility for the Social and Cooperative Economy and Consumer Affairs. While he was an MEP between 2004 and 2009, he authored reports on the strategic review of the IMF and on combating tax havens and banking secrecy. In 1997-1998, when he was in the private office of Martine Aubry, the Minister for Employment and Solidarity, he tackled the issue of youth employment. Benoît Hamon has also worked in the private sector.
