Barış provides legal advisory services to a wide range of clients concerning all aspects of competition law. Barış advises clients on investigations initiated by the Turkish Competition Authority, on merger control issues related to both domestic and cross-border transactions and judicial review proceedings filed against the decisions of the Turkish Competition Authority. He also assists clients operating in regulated markets on issues related with sector specific regulations. Barış plays an active role in defending local and international clients before the Ministry of Trade in anti-dumping investigations. After obtaining his LLB degree from Bilkent University Faculty of Law in 2010, Barış was admitted to Ankara Bar Association. He received his LLM degree in Law and Economics in 2011 from Bilkent University. Barış is a Ph.D. candidate at Bilkent University in the field of Private Law and he is currently working on his doctoral thesis titled “Tort Liability in Turkish Competition Law”. Before joining ACTECON in 2017, Barış worked in the competition law and regulation department of a reputable multi-national law firm. Barış speaks fluent English.
