
Antoine Choffel
Antoine Choffel has been a partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel since 1999 and is currently a member of the firm’s management committee. He was resident partner of the Brussels office from 1996 to 2000 and has been based at the Paris office since 2001. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1991. Antoine jointly heads the firm’s competition practice and has a high-profile expertise in all areas of French and European competition law (cartels, dominant position, merger control). He has acquired an extensive experience in merger control and played a major role on complex deals such as Seb/Moulinex and Total Fina/Elf. He assisted Pernod Ricard in the notification of several significant acquisitions (Seagram, Allied Domecq, V&S). He recently advised SNCF on the notification of several transactions to the European Commission and the French Competition Authority. Antoine has also a respected practice in antitrust matters. He regularly represents clients in cartels, vertical restraints and abuse of dominant positions cases in various economic sectors such as banking, transport, consumer goods, luxury goods. Antoine is a member of the board of the Association des Avocats Pratiquant le Droit de la Concurrence (APDC) and member of the Association Française d’Etude de la Concurrence (AFEC).
