Alex Cohen joined the US Department of Justice in April 2020. Prior to this, Alex Cohen was an associate in the New York office of Constantine Cannon where his practice focused on antitrust and complex commercial litigation. Alex Cohen had served as an assistant attorney general in the New York Attorney General’s Antitrust Bureau. While at the NYAG’s office, he investigated and litigated cases in a variety of industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, financial services, advertising, and retail. Alex Cohen received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was an Associate Managing Editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. While in law school, he served as a law clerk at the Federal Trade Commission, where he worked on merger investigations in the health care industry. Alex Cohen also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Richard K. Eaton of the United States Court of International Trade and as a legal intern in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. He earned his B.A. from Rutgers University. He is also active in the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section and has served since 2015 as an editor for the Health Care and Pharmaceuticals Committee’s Health Care Antitrust Week-In-Review newsletter.
