Avantika is partner at Oxera, based in London with nearly fifteen years of experience in providing expert economic advice on competition matters and commercial disputes. She has advised on merger assessments, vertical and horizontal agreements and abuse of dominance cases in front of the European Commission and other competition authorities, and on antitrust and damages litigation. Avantika Chowdhury has broad sectoral experience, with specific expertise in life sciences, technology and in digital and intellectual property matters, having advised clients such as AstraZeneca, Abbott, ASML, Booking.com, Dyson, Ericsson, Google, Nokia, Pfizer, RWE, Skyscanner, Sandoz and Tesla. She has acted as expert in antitrust and damages litigation and in wider commercial disputes, including in front of the High Court in England, the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal, and courts in Ireland and the Netherlands. Avantika has a MSc in Quantitative Economics and a PhD in Economics, is listed in The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists and is an active contributor to policy discussions through speaking engagements, journal publications and book volumes. She is also involved in delivering economics courses for judges and competition authorities.
