Vincent Martenet holds a law degree from the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), as well as a diploma of advanced studies and a doctorate degree from the University of Geneva (Switzerland). In addition, he was granted a master degree (LL.M.) by Yale University (United States) in 2000. After having practiced law more than five years, he was appointed ordinary (tenured) Professor of Law at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and member of the Swiss Competition Commission in 2005. He was vice-chairman of the Commission from January 2008 until June 2010 and has been chairman of the Commission since July 2010. He remains ordinary Professor of Law at the University of Lausanne where he teaches Swiss and comparative constitutional law as well as competition law. His fields of interest are constitutional law, public economic law and competition law.
