Sofia Ranchordás is an Assistant Professor of Administrative Law at the Tilburg Law School in the Netherlands. She wrote her PhD dissertation on the role of sunset clauses and experimental legislation in the advancement of innovation at the Tilburg University and University of Antwerp (joint doctorate). Her research is focused on the role of law and regulation in the innovation process, including the relationship between competition law and the advancement of innovation. Her research interests include global administrative law, Dutch administrative law, innovation policy, regulation of health care markets, and competition law. Sofia lectures both Dutch Administrative Law (LLB Dutch Law) and (Global) Administrative Law in the LLB in Global Law. Before initiating her academic career, Sofia obtained a LLM degree in Law and Economics from the University of Utrecht. She also worked as a trainee lawyer at the EU and Competition Law department of Vieira de Almeida & Associados in Lisbon, Portugal.
