Pierre-Alain Jeanneney (1952-2015) was a Member of the French State Council. He was a Board member at Société du Grand Paris. He graduated from University of Paris (Master in economics), Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Degree in Economics and Finance) and from Ecole Nationale d’Administration (1980). He is specialised in public law, in particular in the areas of deregulated sectors (energy, telecommunication, post and transportation) and in the application of competition law to public entities. Pierre-Alain Jeanneney was appointed as Maitre des Requêtes at the Conseil d’Etat (French highest administrative court) in 1985. From 1991 to 1993, he held the position of Vice President of RATP (Paris public transportation authority) in charge of finance, legal, development, corporate and audit. From 1995 to 1996, he was Deputy CEO of Air France for budget management, accounting and legal issues and from 1997 to 2001, he was the Director General of ART (French telecommunications regulatory authority).
