Mathilde Brabant joined, in March 2012, the competition & regulation affairs of the legal Department of Engie (GDF SUEZ) as a legal counsel specialized in regulatory issues, such as the European Union energy policy (implementation of the third energy package, gas and electricity prices, …), procurement by entities in the water and energy services sectors and concessions, relationships with the European Union regulators, assistance of innovating energy and/or services projects requiring new or adaptation of actual regulations, etc. Previously, she practiced EU law and French and EU competition law for almost five years as a French lawyer, within DLA Piper’s London and Paris offices first, and then within Jeantet’s Paris office. Mathilde Brabant graduated from The Centre du droit de l’entreprise of Montpellier’s Law University where she obtained a master DJCE and she holds an LLM specialized in EU competition law and economics from King’s College London.
