


Margrethe Vestager
Margrethe Vestager is currently European Commissioner for Competition. Before joining the European Commission, Margarethe Vestager was Danish Minister for Economic Affairs and the Interior from 2011 to 2014, Minister for Education from 2000 to 2001 and Minister for Education and Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs from 1998 to 2000. She was also the political leader of the Danish Social Liberal Party from October 2011 and the President of the ECOFIN Council. She edited the members’ periodical »Radikal Politik« (Social-Liberal Policy) from 1990-1991 and is author of articles and lectures on politics and political-organisational subjects, including the EU.
