Lamberto Schiona is Partner at Jones Day. His practice focuses on litigation and arbitration, with an emphasis on civil, corporate, and public economics law matters. He also has significant experience, among other legal areas, in the regulatory aspects of the insurance market. In particular, Lamberto advises clients in disputes regarding corporate, insurance, bankruptcy, competition, energy, banking, and finance issues, combining dispute resolution skills with an extensive knowledge of the relevant industry sectors and the principles of public economics law. Before joining Jones Day, Lamberto worked for more than 10 years with a boutique Italian firm. He formerly worked with a major international firm and with the financial law division of the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. Lamberto’s clients include ENI, Graham Packaging Company, Hugo Boss, Humanscale, Koch Industries, Sunpower Corporation, and several international investment funds. In insurance matters, he has assisted, among others, Allianz, Assicurazioni Generali, Fondiaria-Sai, Reale Mutua, and Società Cattolica di Assicurazioni. He is author of several publications in the field of corporate and insurance law and is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars. For more than a decade, he collaborated with the first corporate law department of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and, in 2001, he had a contract as a professor of corporate law at the Bari University "LUM." Lamberto has been a member of the editorial committee of the Giurisprudenza Commerciale law review since 2002, and he has been one of the World Bank’s Italian authorities monitoring business law developments in Italy since 2006.
