Kazuyuki Sugimoto

Mr. Kazuyuki Sugimoto was appointed Chairman of the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) in 2013. Before joining the JFTC, he was a Visiting Professor of the Institute of Business Law and Comparative Law & Politics at the Graduate Schools for Law and Politics, University of Tokyo. He had an extensive 35 year long career at the Ministry and other government　organizations where he held a position as Administrative Vice Minister of Finance following Director-General of the Budget Bureau at the Ministry of Finance. He holds a LL.B degree from the University of Tokyo and a M.A. degree from the University of Cambridge. He is registered as Attorney in 2013.
