John F. Cove, Jr. is an of counsel with Shearman & Sterling in the San Francisco office. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of antitrust matters, including monopolization, price fixing, and vertical restraints cases, direct and indirect purchaser class actions, unfair competition actions, federal grand jury investigations and related international investigations, and premerger reviews before federal and state antitrust authorities. Before joining the firm, John Cove was a trial attorney in the US DOJ’s Antitrust Division, and served as a senior member of the DOJ’s trial team in United States v. Microsoft. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Antitrust Section of the State Bar of California.
