Born 1949, Irena Pelikánová has been Judge at the General Court of the EU (in Luxembourg) since 12 May 2004. She has been a Professor of Business Law (since 1993) at the Faculty of Law, Charles University, Prague. She was a member of the Executive of the Securities Commission between 1999 and 2002) She was a lawyer, member of the Legislative Council of the Government of the Czech Republic between 1998 and 2004.
