Academic qualifications : Master of Law from the Universidad del País Vasco (1988) and Master’s Degree (Licence Spéciale) in European Law (Plus Grande Distinction) from the Institute of European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (1988-1990). He was awarded a scholarship from the Basque Government (1998-2000). Professional career : He has practised Law in Gómez-Acebo & Pombo since 1990 and was appointed partner of the Firm in 1999. In 2007, he has become lead partner of the Barcelona office. Specialisation : Competition, Distribution, e-commerce, Intellectual Property, and Administrative Law. Teaching : Since 1999, he has been a lecturer of Competition and Intellectual Property Law at the MADE of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) ; Lecturer of European and Spanish Competition Law in the Master Degree in Law Practice at the School of Business Studies of the University of Barcelona (UB) since 2000 and lecturer of European Union Procedural Law in the Master’s Degree in International Law Practice at the ISDE, Barcelona, since 1993. Membership of professional bodies and associations : Member of the Governing Board of the Spanish Competition Association. Member of the Board of Directors of the International League for Competition Law - Ligue Internationale du Droit de la Concurrence (LIDC) Joint-Vicechairman of Committee C (Competition Law) of the IBA Section on Business Law.
