Hart Holden represents clients in the full range of antitrust matters, focusing on business counseling, government investigations and litigation. Mr. Holden has extensive experience in both merger and non-merger antitrust matters involving numerous industries, including healthcare, telecommunications, transportation, energy, industrial equipment, chemicals, retail consumer goods, trade associations and intellectual property. He has successfully handled hundreds of Hart-Scott-Rodino matters, including multi-billion dollar transactions before the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, and advised major corporations on non-merger antitrust matters involving sales practices, pricing, distribution, information exchanges and corporate antitrust compliance. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Holden was deputy assistant director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, where he was involved in supervising the FTC’s merger enforcement program. While at the FTC, he also served as attorney advisor to the director of the Bureau of Competition, as Special Assistant United States Attorney, and as lead counsel on dozens of major cases presented to the Commission and federal courts. Mr. Holden has authored articles on a variety of antitrust topics, chaired numerous antitrust seminars and served as vice chair of the FTC Committee of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section. He received a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and a B.A. in economics from Westminster College. Mr. Holden is a member of the District of Columbia and Oklahoma bar associations.
