Giordana Aquilea is legal secretary (référendaire) at the Court of Justice of the European Union since 2016. She started her career in the Antitrust and EU Law Department at Macchi di Cellere Gangemi, in the Firm’s Paris and Rome offices. Her activity was focused on antitrust, consumer law, unfair trade practices, and related litigations in civil and administrative courts. Giordana Aquilea graduated with full marks from the University “LA SAPIENZA” of Rome and she holds a Master with merit in European Law from the University Pantheon-Assas where she is currently doing a Ph.D in Competition Law under the supervision of Prof. L. Idot. Prior to joining Macchi di Cellere Gangemi, she worked as Legal and Policy Advisor for the Regulation Policy and International Affairs Department of the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF).
