Fleur Pellerin is a politician and minister delegate in the French government. She was appointed Minister Delegate with responsibility for Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovation, and the Digital Economy attached to the Minister for Economic Regeneration (the former Ministry of the Economy, Finance, and Industry) by President François Hollande on 16 May 2012. Fleur Pellerin graduated from ESSEC business school while she was only 21. She then attended Sciences Po and the École nationale d’administration(ENA). A former high-ranking civil servant at the French Court of Auditors, she was in charge of societal and digital economy issues in François Hollande’s 2012 French presidential election campaign. In July 2012, she pronounced herself against the sale of massive surveillance technologies, which caused quite a stir since France is one of the biggest seller of those technologies.
