Farhad Sorabjee is a partner at the Mumbai offices of J. Sagar Associates. He is co-chair of the firm’s regulatory practice with a focus on competition law, international trade and regulatory and corporate commercial dispute resolution. He has advised and appeared in numerous international trade defence investigations and has advised on Indian Monopolistic And Restrictive Trade Practice compliances. He is an experienced litigator and has appeared in numerous complex commercial arbitrations both local and international as also diverse proceedings involving issues of regulatory, administrative and constitutional law including several landmark decisions of the Supreme Court of India. He has assisted in the representations made on the competition commission’s draft competition regulations by both the American and International Bar Associations and has written several articles and papers on the new Indian competition law in competition law journals and print and other media in India.
